This section explores resources dealing with broader implications of environmental research: legal and policy issues, development and economics, and technology. People have started to send us new resources that settle on both sides of the scientific and social fence, and this will likely be one of the major expansion areas for the Biosphere Project as it develops.

A gateway to information sources on Development and the Environment, hosted by the Institute of Development Studies, Sussex.

Clearing House Mechanism
Initiated by the 1992 UN Convention on Biological Diversity and now emerging from its pilot phase (a 1999 draft report focusing on activity between 1996 and 1998 is available) this global project is "an open and decentralized environmental information and co-operation network in progress."

This organized link site, background for a new environmental science textbook, provides a broad selection of useful overview material on the science, history, philosophy of environmental issues.
