What
is TraveLite? |
|
|
TraveLite
is a web-based system that allows users to create personalized
travel guides. Users choose the destination(s) of their
choice, and then create a travel guide by browsing through
the content and altering the guidebook to match their needs.
Users can mix destination information, and add or delete
information based on category metadata.

Check
out our prototype!
To run the prototype, use Internet Explorer v5 or better,
follow the link, and have fun.
Please
note that we only have actual content for parts ofCalifornia
and Nevada. Furthermore, we have changed some of the content,
so we would not really recommend relying on any of it for
actual travel (and please do not assess Lonely Planet's
content based on what you find here)!

About
this Site |
|
|
A
note about the organization of this site: This project is
the cumulative effort of a year's worth of work by the TraveLite
team. We have grouped the project documentation into four
categories, mirroring our development process: concept,
needs assessment, design, and evaluation. In cases where
project documentation was produced as part of a larger course
project, we have summarized that work here and refer the
reader to the greater report.
This
site is not in any way affiliated with the sites located
at www.travelite.org or www.travelite.com.
